Ken joined Broadway Bank in November, 2016 from USAA. He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services and sales management with a specialty in financial planning. His experience includes managing a broker/dealer and Registered Investment Advisor branch; financial planner, wealth manager, and wholesaler for mutual fund companies including coaching financial advisors and leading client seminars. Prior to his financial services career, he served as a Captain, United States Army. Ken holds a BS in Business/Accounting from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI. He also is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Certified Investment Management Analyst™. Ken, his wife Dede, and their two children (Amanda and Andrew) moved to San Antonio from Connecticut in 2010. He is very involved in his parish's A.C.T.S. community as well as San Antonio basiC Ministries, a small 501(c)3 supporting the SAMMinistries.

Shawn Hughes, SVP

Group Manger

Shawn comes to Broadway Bank following 20 years with his private law office, practicing adult guardianship, estate administration and elder law. Hughes has a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Texas Christian University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is a member of the Texas Guardianship Association, the National Guardianship Association and the Elder Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association.

Steve York, GRP EVP

Commercial Banking Division

Steve has over 30 years in the banking industry spanning across the San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth markets. Prior to assuming the role of Division Executive he served as Middle Market Group Manager for Broadway Bank. Steve serves the San Antonio community through his involvement in SAMMinistries, San Antonio Manufacturers Association and Respite Care of San Antonio. Steve earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of the Texas A&M University Mays School of Business Banking Program.

Scott Matlock, SVP

Group Manger

Scott manages the Business Banking team in Broadway Bank Commercial Banking Division. Scott has over 18 years of financial business management experience. He earned his BBA from the University of Mississippi and a holds an MBA from The George Washington University. Scott is involved in Business & Community Lenders of Texas organization, in addition to sitting on the Board of Directors for Boysville.

Suzanne Cheever Goudge, Director

Broadway Bank

A long-time Broadway Bank Board Director, Suzanne Cheever Goudge currently serves on the bank’s Trust, Investment, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Profit Sharing and Loan & Discount Committees. Previously, Suzanne served as a member on the Eisenhower National Bank Board of Directors and worked in various departments of the bank, assisting with starting up the Trust Department, managing the bank’s investment portfolio, creating the Asset Liability Committee, formalizing the Investment Committee, and creating the Commercial Lending Credit Department. Suzanne earned her Bachelor in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas in 1976.

Suzanne is actively involved in serving the community, immersed in a variety of organizations including Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, where she was the Trefoil Award Recipient in 2011 because of her roles as Troop Leader and other leadership capacities over the years. She currently serves as Chairman of The DoSeum, San Antonio Children’s Museum, Board Member of Teach For America San Antonio, Scholarship Committee member for Sunshine Cottage School for the Deaf, Trustee of the Nancy Smith Hurd Foundation and has served in a variety of other capacities for these organizations in the past as well.

Other organizations Suzanne has supported with her time and service include the United Way of San Antonio, San Antonio Zoo, Retired Senior Services and the Battle of Flowers Association. Additionally, Suzanne was an elected trustee & President of the Alamo Heights Independent School District School Board, President of the Alamo Heights School Foundation and a dedicated member of the Junior League of San Antonio, serving in an extensive variety of trusted capacities for each of these worthy organizations.

Suzanne is married to Jim and has four children and four grandchildren.
